The CEO left this stock before the Wipro report even came out

Thierry Delaporte stepped down 14 months ago before his 5-year term ended, he took over as CEO and MD of Wipro on July 6, 2020 and his 5-year term was to end in July 2025

Wipro announced on Saturday that Thierry Delaporte, its CEO, will be leaving the business with immediate effect in order “to pursue passions outside the workplace.” The company announced in a letter to the exchanges that Srini Pallia, the head of Americas, will take over for him.

“Thierry is a great leader at Wipro, and for that I am grateful. His modifications have put us in a stronger position going forward. Chairman Rishad Premji of the company was reported as saying, “We have improved our overall efficiency, strengthened our leadership, prioritized partnerships, and optimized our structure.”

On July 6, 2020, Delaporte assumed the role of CEO and managing director of the multinational provider of business process outsourcing, consulting, and information technology services. Delaporte had previously worked for the Capgemini Group. Over the course of his 25-year employment with Capgemini, he held the positions of CEO and executive board member.

Abidali Neemuchwala, who stepped down as leader on June 1, 2020, came before him.

The news of Delaporte’s departure coincides with Wipro’s ongoing poor performance. There have also been other well-known leadership departures from the organization. Aparna C. Iyer took over as the company’s chief financial officer in September of last year after Jatin Pravinchandra Dalal resigned.
